Carole passed away on March 2, 2012 at Brian's House after a long and courageous battle with lung disease. She was born March 4, 1942 in Bay City to the late Howard "Whitey" and Margaret (Schmidt) Ricker. She was a nursing assistant for over 30 years at Bay Regional Medical Center. She enjoyed spending time at her cottage in Houghton Lake and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving and dedicated husband of 48 years, Stanley J. Glysz. Also surviving are: her two devoted children, Howard (Jay) Glysz of Bay City MI and Stephanie (Robert) Chatfield of Houghton Lake MI; her grandchildren Brittany, Olivia, and Robert Jr.; her twin brother, Robert (Flo) Ricker of Bay City MI; sisters, Marcie (Jerry) Jones of Essexville MI and Kathryn (Lloyd) Friesen of Oakland CA.
She was predeceased by her brothers Glennie and Jimmie, her sister Barb Katt, and her brother in law Robert Katt.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff on 5 West at McLaren Bay Region and Brian's House for their helping hands and big hearts. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the American Lung Association or Brian's House of Bay Area. Arrangements made with Cremation Society of Mid-Michigan.
