Mr. Thomas, age 75, died Friday March 23, 2012 at his home. George was born in St. Charles on January 23, 1937 to the late George and Elizabeth (Brotzman) Thomas. He was a 1955 graduate of St. Charles High School. George served in the U.S. Marines from 1955-1959. He married Maxine on May 28, 1960. George worked for GM (Saginaw Division) and retired in 1992. Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife Maxine, their 3 children: Mike and wife Shelley Thomas of Birch Run, Anna and husband Gordon Wolf of Saginaw, and Mary and husband Calvin Meyer of Richville. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren; Michelle and husband Brandon Cornell of Howell, Amy and husband Timothy Anderson of Texas, Richard Meyer of Vassar, Douglas Thomas of Birch Run, and Rachel Thomas of Birch Run, 2 great grandchildren; Brennan of Texas and Nataleigh of Vassar, sister Roberta and husband Del Waterman of Roscommon, and brother in law Donald Zdzcynski of Birch Run.
